E-commerce: Ethnic Wear SEO Foundation & Organic Visibility Rebuild

Confidential — Fashion & Apparel ·

The challenge
The growth was structurally fragile. Despite strong product-market fit, organic search contributed almost nothing Ahrefs recorded 0 organic traffic and the site ranked for just 8 keywords, down 20%. Core on-page and technical foundations were missing across the site: no meta titles or descriptions, no H1 tags, no schema, no robots.txt and images without alt text. Off-page, a DA of 2 and only 1% quality backlinks left the domain with no ranking power. Locally, the Google Business Profile sat at 0 reviews with a 0.0 rating, killing trust and local visibility.

Approach

What we actually did

  1. 01Ran a full 22-point technical audit, isolating 3 critical and 4 recommended issues capping the site's 71/100 health score.
  2. 02Rebuilt on-page foundations site-wide: unique meta titles and descriptions, proper H1 hierarchy, image alt text and internal linking.
  3. 03Fixed the technical layer - robots.txt, schema markup, Open Graph/Twitter tags, canonicalisation and 301 redirect logic - to restore crawlability and rich-result eligibility.
  4. 04Deployed a content-cluster model: pillar pages around core categories (tops & tunics, kurta sets, sarees) with supporting cluster articles and strategic interlinking.
  5. 05Built an off-page engine - social bookmarking, blog and Q&A submissions and quality backlink acquisition - to lift domain authority from a near-zero base.
  6. 06Rebuilt the Google Business Profile: local keyword mapping, geo-tagged posts, mini-blogs, citations and a review-generation system to move off a 0.0 rating.
